Setting the Standard for the Development of Single-Family Rentals

For more than 30 years, Hunt Companies has developed, built, owned, and operated institutional-quality single-family rental housing communities. Avanta Residential is a Hunt company formed to specialize in the next wave of single-family rental housing. Drawing on Hunt’s extensive real estate background and more than $10 billion in completed developments, Avanta is positioned to set the standard for the industry by creating single-family rental neighborhoods.

Our mission is simple: Creating neighborhoods that deliver long-term results to our investors, our partners, and our residents.

Our Experience

Hunt is the 3rd largest owner of single-family rentals in the country.

In addition, Mr. Dobbie was a senior executive for the registered investment advisor, Hunt Investment Management, and a member of its investment committee.

His specific experience encompasses acquisition, due diligence, development, financial analysis, contract negotiation, public-private partnerships, entitlement, and zoning.

Mr. Spier’s responsibilities at Hunt include asset management of a national portfolio of 2,700 affordable housing units, development of a high-rise office building, and multiple market-rate multifamily projects.

Terence Johnson

Terence Johnson, Director of Development at Hunt, has more than 22 years of design and project management experience in multiple real estate sectors, and is especially skilled at providing design while reducing overall construction and maintenance costs. Mr. Johnson’s responsibilities with Hunt include renovation and new construction activities with a focus on architectural design, project management, tenant coordination, site selection analysis, leasehold review, building and construction standards development, capital budget review and preparation, contract administration, and legal reviews.

Our Philosophy

The Hunt philosophy is built on the cornerstone of decades-tested experience and a solid commitment to develop neighborhoods that deliver results over the long term. From concept to completion, these neighborhoods are designed to balance the long-term needs of the neighborhood itself, the community it sits within, the residents, and the investors. To achieve this balance, Avanta Residential employs a deep pool of talented professionals. Architects, finance experts, construction managers, developers, asset managers, and qualified investment and property managers all work in concert to deliver great neighborhoods and great results to our investors.
