Bud Rogers (Atlanta, GA) serves as a Development Manager for the Southeast Region. Prior to working with Avanta, Bud was a Vice President for a developer and builder in Atlanta, GA where he was responsible for developing and executing internal and external business plans that increases revenues and profits via new home sales. Bud worked in the Southeast as a Director at Metrostudy; helping banks, developers and builders maximize real estate opportunities using Metrostudydata. He has also worked as a VP of Sales and Marketing, closing more than 500 annual sales. Bud has extensive experience with inside and outside level sales and sales management, budget management, sales training and recruiting, marketing management, e-marketing strategy, land development feasibility and market analysis, business development, and product development. Bud is a graduate of Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Ken Kamastra (Denver, CO) serves as a Development Manager for the Colorado and Texas Regions. Ken joined Avanta in June 2021 bringing more than 20 years of experience in multifamily housing investment, development and operations. While at Simpson Housing, Ken was involved in the acquisition and development of more than $750 million of multifamily and mixed-use projects in Texas, Colorado and California. Ken earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University. He also earned a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Real Estate Urban Land Economics degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Jose R. Pizarro (Chicago, IL) Serves as Avanta’s Vice President of Acquisitions responsible for underwriting potential investments, obtaining investor approvals, as well as asset management, performance reporting, and data analytics for Avanta. Prior to joining the Hunt Development Group team in 2015, Mr. Pizarro was a member of Hunt Mortgage Group in the Agency Debt and Affordable Housing Debt groups, where he was responsible for sourcing, screening, and underwriting potential transactions. Jose earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Statistics (Cum Laude) from the University of South Florida in 2008 and a Master of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and Finance (with Distinction) in 2015 from DePaul University.
Penny Bradbury (Denver, CO) serves as Avanta’s Director of Capital Markets. Penny brings 30 years of industry experience in commercial real estate loan origination, loan underwriting, and asset management. Prior to joining Avanta, Penny’s most notable positions were held at JPMorgan Chase as a Client Manager originating both multifamily and commercial loans in Denver and Boulder and most recently as an agency lender for Hunt Real Estate Capital originating loans in Colorado and other western states. Her strengths include commercial property valuation and underwriting, loan document negotiation, purchase contract negotiation, and closing coordination. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in Banking and Finance from the University of Mississippi. Penny and her husband reside in Englewood, CO and have four children together.
Mr. Spier’s responsibilities include asset management of a national portfolio of 2,700 affordable housing units, development of a high-rise office building, and multiple market-rate multifamily projects.
Robert Kelly (Lindale, TX) serves as Vice President of Construction and Development for Avanta and is a Senior Vice President of Hunt Development Group. As an Avanta team member, Robert focuses primarily on structuring and negotiating construction contracts and administering and managing those contracts during the construction phase of Avanta projects – all with a focus on controlling construction costs and minimizing and managing construction risk. Robert brings forty years of development and construction experience to Avanta. Robert joined Hunt’s construction division as a construction manager in 1993 and transitioned to the Development Group in 1999. Since joining the development team, Robert has managed the development of projects with construction budgets up to $600 million. Prior to joining Hunt, Robert worked for a civil engineering firm for 12 years. Robert received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Master of Business Administration degree from San Diego State University.
Avanta Residential is focused on purchasing raw land and/or lots to create Single Family Residential Neighborhoods (“SFR Neighborhoods”) available for rent. The following criteria are used to determine the suitability of lots and sites.
